1. Introduction

Petty Threads is a sole proprietorship based in Everett, Washington, United States. We operate the online apparel store at pettythreads.shop. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you visit the website, create an account, contact us, subscribe to communications, submit content, or purchase products.

Questions and privacy requests may be sent to yorel56@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account username and credentials, order information, product and size selections, newsletter preferences, customer-service correspondence, contact-form messages, communications and privacy requests, product reviews, photographs, and other media or content you submit.

Information collected automatically

When you use the website, we and our service providers may collect IP address, browser type, device and operating-system information, referring URLs, pages viewed, session information, cookie and similar identifiers, cart and checkout activity, login activity, approximate location derived from IP address, advertising interactions, and security, error, fraud-prevention, and server logs.

Transaction information

We collect information about purchased products, order value, taxes, discounts, payment status, payment method type, refunds, fulfillment status, shipping, and tracking. Stripe and enabled payment services process payment-card information. Petty Threads does not directly store complete payment-card numbers. We may receive limited payment details such as payment status, method type, last four digits when supplied, fraud indicators, and transaction identifiers.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information through checkout and guest checkout, customer accounts, contact and support forms, optional newsletter forms, product reviews, cookies and similar technologies, server logs, and interactions with WooCommerce, WordPress, Stripe, Printful, Jetpack/Automattic, MailPoet, advertising platforms, and other active integrations described below.

Petty Threads does not sell personal information for money and does not use affiliate links. The website currently uses advertising and measurement integrations that may disclose identifiers and activity data to advertising platforms for analytics, attribution, audience measurement, personalized advertising, or remarketing. Depending on applicable state law, some of these disclosures may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” even though Petty Threads does not receive money for the information.

5. Service Providers and Other Disclosures

Payment services

Stripe and enabled WooCommerce payment services receive transaction and customer information to process and authenticate payments, prevent fraud, manage disputes and refunds, and meet financial and legal obligations. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Available payment methods may be provided by Stripe, WooPayments, or their underlying financial partners.

Printful

Printful manufactures and fulfills our products. We send Printful information needed to manufacture products, prepare shipping labels, arrange delivery, provide tracking, and handle defects, lost shipments, reshipments, and refunds. This may include your name, shipping address, contact information where required, ordered products, customization details, shipping method, and order identifiers. See Printful’s Privacy Policy.

WordPress, WooCommerce, Jetpack, and Automattic

WordPress and WooCommerce manage the website, checkout, accounts, orders, reviews, store administration, and privacy requests. Jetpack and Automattic provide site connection and synchronization, statistics, WooCommerce analytics, login and account protection, notifications, WordPress.com API access, forms capability, subscriptions capability, site verification, and advertising tools including Blaze. These services may process site activity, device and network data, account information, order and customer metrics, and synchronization data. See Automattic’s Privacy Notice.

Advertising and measurement platforms

The website uses integrations for Google for WooCommerce, Reddit for WooCommerce, and Snapchat for WooCommerce. These platforms may receive cookie identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, pages and products viewed, cart or checkout events, purchases, transaction values, and similar interaction data for advertising delivery, personalization, attribution, conversion measurement, audience creation, and remarketing. Their use of information is governed by their own policies: Google Privacy Policy, Reddit Privacy Policy, and Snap Privacy Policy.

MailPoet and email delivery

MailPoet is configured to manage newsletter subscriptions and email lists. If newsletter signup is offered and you subscribe, MailPoet may process your email address, name when provided, subscription status, consent records, list membership, delivery status, and email open or click activity when tracking is enabled. You may unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email. WP Mail SMTP and our configured email delivery provider may process email addresses, message content, delivery metadata, and related information to deliver order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets, support replies, privacy-request messages, newsletters, and administrative email.

Forms, reviews, and spam prevention

The public Contact page currently uses the Petty Threads contact form. Form submissions contain the fields you provide and may include submission time and technical metadata. Messages are routed by email and may be retained in support correspondence. Other form tools are installed but are not currently used on the public Contact page. Akismet is installed but was not active as of the Last Updated date. If spam detection is enabled later, relevant submission data may be processed to identify spam and abuse.

Hosting and infrastructure

Web hosting, database hosting, content delivery, reverse proxy, backups, security logging, and system-administration providers may process information necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the website.

Legal and business disclosures

We may disclose information to comply with applicable law or valid legal process; investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; protect rights, safety, and property; enforce agreements; or in connection with a sale, transfer, financing, or reorganization of the business.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our providers use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies. These include essential WordPress and WooCommerce technologies for carts, checkout, login, accounts, security, and preferences; analytics technologies for Jetpack and commerce measurement; newsletter technologies where used; and advertising technologies associated with Google, Reddit, Snapchat, and enabled advertising services.

Some technologies expire at the end of a browser session and others persist for periods configured by the relevant provider. The website does not currently operate a dedicated cookie-consent platform. You can manage cookies through your browser and use privacy controls offered by the relevant platforms, but blocking essential cookies may prevent carts, checkout, or account functions from working.

7. Newsletter and Marketing Communications

Newsletter signup is optional and is not a condition of purchase. Marketing consent must be given separately and must not be preselected. Subscribers may unsubscribe through the link in each marketing email. We may retain a minimal suppression record to honor an unsubscribe request. Petty Threads does not currently send abandoned-cart marketing email. Website advertising and remarketing integrations operate separately from newsletter consent and may be controlled through browser or platform privacy settings and applicable privacy requests.

8. Data Retention

Petty Threads applies the following operational retention schedule, subject to the qualifications below:

  • Completed and refunded order records: 7 years.
  • Cancelled and failed orders: 1 year.
  • Pending or abandoned orders: 30 days.
  • Inactive customer accounts: 2 years after the last login or order, while separately retained order records may remain.
  • Contact-form submissions and customer-support correspondence: 2 years, generally measured from submission or resolution.
  • Newsletter subscription records: until unsubscribe or an eligible deletion request; suppression records may be retained as reasonably necessary to honor opt-outs.
  • Routine security and server logs: approximately 90 days unless needed longer for an investigation or incident.
  • Privacy access and deletion request records: 3 years.
  • Reviews and submitted media: until removed by Petty Threads or the submitting customer, subject to moderation and legal needs.
  • Cookies: according to the configured expiration of the relevant technology.
  • Backups: until overwritten under the normal backup rotation.

Information may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for taxes, accounting, fraud prevention, chargebacks, disputes, legal claims, enforcement, security incidents, or compliance with law. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from backups; backup copies are removed through normal rotation. Providers may apply their own retention periods where Petty Threads cannot directly control them.

9. Information Security

Petty Threads uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a small ecommerce operation. No online transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

10. Customer Choices and Privacy Requests

You may request access, correction, export, account deletion, deletion or anonymization of eligible information, newsletter unsubscribe, or removal of a review you submitted. Send requests to yorel56@gmail.com or use the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity.

Some information cannot be deleted when retention is reasonably required for legal, financial, fraud-prevention, dispute, or security purposes. Deleting an account does not necessarily delete legally retained order records. We will respond within a reasonable period consistent with applicable law.

11. United States State Privacy Rights

Privacy rights vary by state. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, certain profiling, or disclosures treated as a sale or sharing. Petty Threads does not represent that it currently meets the applicability thresholds of any particular state privacy statute, but we will review verified requests under applicable law.

Petty Threads does not sell personal information for money. Because advertising integrations may disclose identifiers and activity data for personalized advertising or remarketing, you may request that Petty Threads review an opt-out request by emailing yorel56@gmail.com. You may also use controls offered by Google, Reddit, Snapchat, your browser, or your device.

12. Children’s Privacy

The website is not directed toward children under 13. Products and marketing may contain adult humor and foul language. Petty Threads does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact yorel56@gmail.com to request review and deletion.

13. US-Only Operations and International Visitors

Petty Threads currently sells and ships only within the United States. The website may be technically accessible elsewhere, and information may be processed in the United States. International visitors should not place orders unless Petty Threads later expressly supports their region.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the store, providers, or legal requirements change. The Last Updated date will be revised when the policy changes. Material changes may be communicated through the website where reasonable.
